「学びの継続」のための『学生支援緊急給付金』(まなびの ための きゅうふきん))

Due to the spread of new coronavirus, part-time job income has decreased significantly,
and it is difficult to continue studying.
Cash will be provided to students by JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization).
(200,000 yen will be paid for students in households exempt from resident tax,
and 100,000 yen will be paid for other students.).

Students who meet the above requirements should fill the application
and the required documents at the school by following the procedure below.
 

(Requirements)  
 A  General Students 1. Annual remittance / allowance of less than 1.5 million yen
2. Living on your own for the purpose of study (outside your parents’ house)
3. The income of the part-time job is higher than the living expenses and school expenses
4. Due to the reduced income of the family (parents), additional support from the family cannot be expected.
5. Part-time job income has decreased by more than 50% from the previous month. ← Two months after January (the income decreased by 50% or more from January to February, February to March, March to April)
 
  International Students 1. Grade evaluation coefficient for the previous year is 2.3 or higher
2. One-month attendance rate is 80% or more
3. Average monthly remittance / allowance is 90,000 yen or less (entrance fees and tuition fees are not included)
4. Annual income of dependents residing in Japan is less than 5 million yen

 
◆Step 1◆ (Deadline until June 5th)
A  General Students 
5: Part-time job income decreased by 50% or more from the previous month
B International Students
3: Remittance / allowance on average 90,000 yen or less per month (entrance and tuition fees not included)
 
Re-Check the above 2 items.
A Two months after January (the income decreased by 50% or more from January to February, February to March, March to April)
B Remittance / allowance average monthly amount of 90,000 yen or less
 
Please submit a copy of the passbook to the receptionist to confirm the contents of it.
 
Fill the red part in the attached form (submission date / student number / name / birth date / phone number) of the benefit application (attached to this email) along with the copy of the passbook
If there is no mention in the passbook that the remittance / allowance is less than 90,000 yen on average per month, please refer to the application form 3.
Please fill in that "remittance is 90,000 yen or less on average per month (entrance fees and tuition fees are not included)".
(The original copy of the application form will be returned after it is copied, so please keep it for the next procedures.)

◆Step 2◆
We will check the grade evaluation coefficient and attendance rate of everyone who has been confirmed to have their income decreased by 50% or more.
We will contact the students who are confirmed, so please prepare the following documents.
 
◆Step 3◆
Required documents
① A copy of the rental contract for the apartment (or resident card if there is no copy of the rental contract)
② Certificate of tax exemption
 
◆Step 4◆(Deadline until June 15th)
① Fill in all required information (bank account, etc.) of the application form
② Pledge (Form 2) Please submit it together with the required documents attached to this email.
 


 Important Note: 

To obtain this benefit you must meet all the requirements (attendance rate and grade evaluation coefficient) and is not granted to all students who apply.
There is quota for recommendations (student admissions) for each school, all will be decided within that range. Currently, JASSO has not contacted us yet about the number of people in that quota / recommendation limit. The basic policy for selecting recommendations is:
1. Attendance rate
2. Grades
3. Others.
As the final date of the recommendation list is June 19th, please prepare the required documents and carefully check the deadline date stated in the above steps.
